As an OSP Field Technician-Laborer for Stratis, you will support telecom construction projects by hand-digging trenches and holes for underground fiber optic and coax installations, and by gathering, packing up and cleaning job-related tools, materials, and equipment.
What you will learn and do:
  • Hand dig as needed, when directional drill machine cannot be used for the purpose of installing telecom cable and conduit
  • Prepare worksite for utility locating and directional drilling, and secure worksite, equipment, and materials at the end of each shift
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on job equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicles, equipment and tools 
  • Load material and equipment to and from the job site
  • Perform routine maintenance on company equipment
What you need to bring:
  • Ability to read blueprints and follow job specifications
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions year round
  • Availability to work occasional weekends and overtime, as projects require
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Possess or can obtain a DOT medical card
  • Valid driver’s license, CDL a plus
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
